“ORDINARY MADNESS” Carnegie Museum Of Art Ending February 27, 2011 The exhibition mines the museum’s rich holdings of contemporary art to present confrontations between the quotidian and the extraordinary, and the reasoned and the deranged, and dwells on the bewildering experiences that people subconsciously synthesize on a daily basis. These works across media suggest that the everyday is in fact laced with the mad, uncanny and surreal.
