1. Enjoy a Holiday Party.
For those “first daters,” this is a nice environment so you’re not pressured to keep the conversation going incase you get those nervous thoughts and possible jitters. We all know how that goes. But, it’s also just a great way to let loose, meet each other’s friends and have a extraordinary time, no worries.
2. Go to a Sports Event.
Even if you’re not a sports fan, its always a fun experience. I’m not by any means a sports girl but something about being surrounded by a bunch of excited fans, it gets you in the moment. And if your sweetie enjoys a good game of football or hockey, they’ll be pleased that you can sit back and do the same.
3. Grab a Hot Cocoa.
Probably the most traditional of holiday dates, but also the best to get to know your possible sweetie, or spend some alone time together with. Sipping over that delicious hot chocolate with the marshmallows on top, the two of you will get to have an evening just as sweet. If you don’t want to sit and drink at home, note that a bunch of coffee shops have fireplaces and help to really set that comfy mood you’ll be looking for.
4. Take Pictures.
Something for the slightly more serious. Once you and your boo are comfortable with each other, plan a day to go around the town and take pictures in the snow. With all the holiday decorations and glimmering scenery, all your friends will be jealous of how artsy of a couple you two are once they see the shots from your super cute date.
5. Adventurous Ice Skating.
What could be more romantic then ice skating during the winter season? The sport is practically made to be the perfect date. Even if you’re not a pro, holding hands and skating around lights and lit up trees, the opportunity can be breath-taking if you indulge. Worst thing that could happen is you fall, but even then it gives you and your date something to laugh about and maybe step on the side lines for some toasty apple cider.
6. Relaxing Lights.
On a night when the roads aren’t so treacherous, grab your babe and hop in the car and drive to a local light show! Turn up the heat, hold hands, maybe even share a cup of cocoa or cider in the car. Drive slow and enjoy every presentation you see.
7. Hit up a Museum.
When the weather is too cold to stay out for too long, hit up a museum and go learn something together. A lot of times museums have holiday specials or new exhibits that are fun to explore and see. Even if you’re not a huge fan, take a chance and do something different, or go to an interactive art or science museum. That way you two can sort of “play around” and make it more fun.
