Nestled in the heart of Manhattan, lies a quaint store. The name never fails to stop people in their tracks: Verameat. It invokes images of butcher shops and giant slabs of flesh.
Although the shop is filled with floating hands, they are used to display jewelry, and luckily for us, that jewelry is beautiful.
Worn by celebrities and fashionistas around the globe, Verameat is one jewelry store that people do not want to miss. Filled with many different designs, ranging from vampire teeth to two headed t-rexes, the store is incredibly quaint and creepy, while managing to be beautifully delicate.
Everything in the store is hand-designed and cast by Vera Balyura, a former model that immigrated to the US when she was fourteen. She recently filmed and directed a movie about road trips, and Verameat. An innovator and entrepreneur at heart, it is always interesting to see what direction she will take her jewelry collection in next.
People that live in New York or California are in luck, since there are currently three stores: one in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and one in Beverly Hills. If they go at the right time, costumers might even be able to meet Vera, and the store mascot, her little dog, Fred. The rest of can find these beautiful designs on Verameat’s website.
