The 11th season of Project Runway starts tomorrow night, January 24th, but fans of the popular fashion design reality show should be ready for a few changes. While veteran judges Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia will be returning to their fashionable New York stomping grounds, Michael Kors bid the show, “auf wiedersehen,” due to scheduling conflicts, but said he’ll be back for future seasons. Renowned NYC fashion designer Zac Posen, who won the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s 2004 Swarovski’s Perry Ellis Award for Womenswear and has dressed celebs from Beyoncé to Kate Winslet, will take his place along side Heidi, Nina, and longtime contestant mentor Tim Gunn.
Changes to the show aren’t only affecting the judges, though. Contestants will be facing a new challenge before they even get their hands on some Mood fabric—competing in teams. Tune in to see how it all pans out, and to get a chance to see guest judges like Bette Midler, Emmy Rossum, Rachel Roy, John Legend, and Project Runway Alum Christian Siriano.
