JCPenny fashion has really been hitting a home run lately. After debuting I “Heart” Ronson in 2008, they have been on the hot tamale train when it comes to designer collaborations. From Nicole Miller to their most recent collaboration with Duro Olowu, the store has really upped the style ante.
To add to their fashion resume, JCPenny has decided to team up with Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman. Designed by Chapman and partner Keren Craig, the line makes even the most non-fancy of females change their minds. Their way of combining materials is like a secret ingredient. Typically frilly elements like ruffles, organza and sparkles are put together in such a way that remains modern and flattering. It will make any female want to feel like a princess.
Named after her daughter, Pearl, the capsule collection will be stocked in 500 in-store boutiques around the country. Geared towards a slightly younger generation, Chapman wanted it to have the same design aesthetic as Marchesa while remaining fun. The dresses will range anywhere from $50-$250. The line features formal cocktail dresses to red-carpet worthy gowns. She has you covered for all those summer weddings, spring galas and — for the younger readers — prom.
It’s already available online but if you’re an in-store kinda gal, March 1 is the big reveal. Stop in to your closet JCPenny store and experience the frills.
