NYFW Day 5 with Victoria Beckham, Jenny Packham, Prabal Gurung, and more.
Talk about Sunday Funday! Day 5 of New York Fashion Week was the cherry on top of a fashion-forward weekend. We already gushed about our love for DVF’s feminine spring 2016 collection, but there is much more to talk about.
The day begin with Victoria Beckham who said “this collection is more about attitude and just making things fresh and carefree.” The looks were a mixture of clean, classic designs we expect from the former Posh Spice, and surprising pieces with surfer prints and pops of electric color.
Tracy Reese‘s spring 2016 collection was the perfect combination of a secret garden meets the Caribbean Ocean. The use of greens, yellows, and blues was very Earth-like and blossoming into floral favorites.
The Thakoon spring 2016 collection stood out to us because of its luxe, yet laid back looks. The designer, who says his collection is “New Bohemia”, took boho style to the next level with tie-dye ensembles and pajama-inspired fashions.
Jenny Packham has done it again with her show-stopping, stunning gowns. The intricate beading, sequins, and billowing ball gowns left us in awe.
East meets west at the Prabal Gurung show. The designer drew inspiration from his native Nepal with gorgeous use of color and flow. Celebs like Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Hudson, and Kylie Jenner were seen sitting front row as the sunset-like styles strutted down the runway.
We’ll see you all again tomorrow! xoxo
