Coach Shoes: New Collection Inspired by 90s’
New shoe trend alert! As if we aren’t excited enough for summer to begin, Coach made their warm weather debut with a ‘90’s inspired footwear collection. And we can’t resist a unique design that contrasts from last year’s staples.
This luxury brand’s new collection is on track to reestablish Coach as a contemporary and original name in the fashion industry.
It’s about time to celebrate the arrival of jacket-free sunny days, and what better way to do that than be the first to pick up a pair of this season’s hottest high heels?
“The soul and uniqueness in great fashion houses is what really excites me, and it’s what drew me to Coach,” Vevers (designer for the brand) said. “I think Coach is truly special as the American leather goods house, and interestingly, Coach actually began as a men’s brand, with a workshop of six craftspeople here in New York City in 1941. Almost 75 years later, my focus is to establish a fresh, new vision that explores what it is about the brand that is unique and has drawn customers around the world to Coach.”
Over the past 19 years, Vevers has designed for Givenchy, Calvin Klein, and Louis Vuitton, to name a few. He has also worked alongside Marc Jacobs. In 2006, Vevers won the British Fashion Council’s Accessory Designer of the Year Award and in 2007 he was appointed Creative Director of Loewe. He has been serving as Coach’s creative director since June 2013.
These designs are definitely Maniac Approved. If you are fearless enough to make a change to your closet, into chain-link high-heeled sandals, loafer slingbacks, and salmon colored flatforms, then check out Maniac’s favorites and be prepared to expand your summer shoe game this season!
