Moschino Fall 2015 Runway Report: Moschino presented their long awaited Fall 2015 runway show in Milan on Thursday during fashion week. We know we can always expect excitement with Jeremy Scott in control and since Scott has begun designing for the iconic Italian Fashion house, he has exceeded the limits with his ingenious creations.
In response to Scott’s successful hot pink Barbie vanity mirror iPhone case given to the front row of last season’s show, every seat at this year’s presentation was provided with a plastic teddy bear iPhone 6 case, embellished with “THIS IS NOT A MOSCHINO TOY”.
Models were decked out in 90’s inspired clothing and arose from enormous boom boxes. Some of the clothes displayed Warner Bro’s cartoon characters, including Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird, and Sylvester the Cat, flashing their hip-hop style for all to see. What’s even more creative, the Looney Tunes were wearing Moschino themselves.
A nod to Scott’s new fragrance, sweater dresses and cropped jackets were printed with teddy bears. Jeans were worn inside out and denim skirts were worn upside down. In addition, there were chain necklaces, graffiti spray painted eveningwear, and quilted leather overalls.
Scott clearly has a lot to bring to the table with his pop-culture obsession and quirky attitude. Being at the helm of Moschino for only over a year now, the past three consecutive shows have all featured cartoons (Barbie, Spongebob, and Looney Tunes). What’s next on the designer’s list?
