Custom Dream Wedding Dresses by Knieriem Designs
Future-brides need to look no further for their perfect dress. Christina of Knieriem Designs has exactly what you’re looking for…because it’s all custom. And we mean custom. Not a single step of the process is outsourced! Everything is done by hand and helps to bring the bride’s ideas together to truly show her individuality!
Inspired as a child by her grandmother’s ability to sew, Christina quickly learned the trade herself and began hand-making her own clothing. As she grew older, she continued to follow her passion and earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Fashion Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She even studied abroad in Paris!
Her hard work and love of the art have clearly paid off through the creation of Knieriem Designs!
Potential clients can bring photos of different styles, theme ideas, and dreams to Christina and she will take all of these unique thoughts and inspirations and combine them into one beautiful overall look, making the bride’s wish come true! Following this consultation, Christina begins the design process by working out sketches and taking the client’s measurements so that a custom pattern can be drawn up. Several fit samples and try-ons later, the perfect custom dress is born!
“What I love about what I do is that everything is different and I get to put a little piece of my client into their design and make it totally unique to them. I love to make things that have dual purpose, so maybe a wedding dress that is made in a way that later it can be shortened into a chic cocktail dress or reversible skirts. I think that fashion should be simple and fun, and I love details like beading and lace,” Christina told us.
And we love it too! Continuing to show her love of the fashion world, Christina also sells a few ready-to-wear items in her Etsy shop! We’re obsessed with this tulle skirt!
