Our Top 5 Grammy Moments
1. If you weren’t a fan of The Weeknd and his adorably-horrible hair before last night, his stripped-down piano version of “In The Night” will have changed your mind. We’re so impressed by his raw talent and couldn’t be happier that he took home two Grammys! (We didn’t mind seeing Bella Hadid on his arm either. Stunning!) Check it out here!
2. I think it’s safe to say that we, as humans, are not worthy of Adele. Small technical difficulties aside, the 27-year-old stole the Grammy stage last night for the first time in three years. In a gorgeous wine colored dress, the British singer-songwriter belted out our personal favorite track off of 25, “All I Ask” and lets just say….we were rolling in the deep (pool of our own tears).

3. David Bowie‘s death created a massive hole in the heart of the music world, so when it was announced that Lady Gaga would be performing a tribute to the legend, fans held their breath. If anybody was going to do be able to do this right, it would be Gaga, and she slayed it. With an overlay of Bowie’s face projected onto her own, Gaga kicked off the six-minute medley as the rockstar himself. She powered through famed-Bowie tracks such as “Space Oddity”, “Suffragette City”, and “Fame”, and was greeted with a much-deserved standing ovation at the completion of the tribute. Ziggy would have been proud and so honored.

4. After his album, To Pimp A Butterfly, took home five Grammys including Best Rap Album, Kendrick Lamar brought history front-and-center with his performance of “The Blacker the Berry” and “Alright”. Delivering the most honest performance of the night, Lamar began his show in chains and ended it with fire. Yes, actual fire. He made the audience think, and care, and challenged everyone to pay attention in what was easily the best (and most groundbreaking) performance of the night. Sorry (not sorry) conservative folks, this one’s not for you. Watch it here.
5. Okay, so we had a lot of favorite Taylor Swift moments last night…she won video of the year for “Bad Blood” and posted an adorable video to Instagram with bestie, Selena Gomez, opened the show with a performance of her latest single, “Out of the Woods”, and freaked-the-freak out (in a good way) when other bestie, Ed Sheeran, won for “Song of the Year” (over her)…but her true spotlight moment came nearly at the end of the night. After a jealousy-inducing handshake with Jack Antonoff, Swift accepted the Grammy for Album of the Year. And her speech had “@kanyewest” written all over it. Check out the girl-power moment that had us cheering from our couches, below.
