Mariah Carey, a diva powerhouse of the 21st century, has come out with a new album called The Art of Letting Go. The album’s original release date was supposed to be July 23rd, but the forty-three-year-old mother of twins took to twitter to announce that the album is not ready yet.
As she writes, “I’d rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it’s meant to be heard. When I’m ready, you’ll be the first 2 know!”
Mariah Carey has been working the album since early 2011. As she stated in an exclusive interview with Billboard in their March 9, 2013 issue, “It’s about making sure I have tons of good music, because at the end of the day, that’s the most important thing….There are a lot more raw ballads than people might expect…there are also up=tempo and signature-type songs that represent [my] different facets as an artist…..Wherever we go with this project, I’ve tried to keep the soul and heart in it”.
We know that we here at Maniac can’t wait to hear her new album! This will be the Grammy winner’s fourteenth studio record and it will include the hit single, #Beautiful featuring the beloved Miguel.
