Last week the video release of “How We Do It” combined the fresh talent of the Steel City’s youth and a group of financial leaders in a message to support the Epilepsy Foundation. A contrast of old school community leaders and the whip-smart of Pittsburgh’s youth, the video produced by Emma Alaquiva and Christine French features Steeler Brett Keisel, and owner Art Rooney II.
However, the collaboration doesn’t stop there. Stepping from behind the corporate desk a collection of the city’s most powerful CEOs get down with Pittsburgh City Charter High School students, rapping their own lyrics and mixing their own music thanks to programs like Hip Hop on L.O.C.K. It’s crazy just how powerful a message can be when you get down to the concrete of a community and give it a little street cred.
