Boy George and Culture Club Scheduled to Play Heinz Hall
With seven straight Top 10 hits in the U.K. and six Top 10 singles in the U.S., Culture Club defined a generation. Tracks like “Karma Chameleon” and “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me” became instant classics upon release. And with his loud, flamboyant costumes, a knack for shocking the media, and refreshing androgynous look, Boy George became the face of the band, leading the Culture Club through an incredible career that helped garner them a Grammy for “Best New Artist” in 1984.
Because of the band’s wild success and everlasting influence on popular culture, Rich Engler is proud to present the Culture Club at Pittsburgh’s own Heinz Hall on Wednesday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m. After canceling their 2014 tour due to health issues, one of the most influential pop bands of the ‘80s is back, with all four original members: Boy George, Roy Hay, Mikey Craig, and Jon Moss. Tickets for this show range from $59 to $80 and can be purchased from the Heinz Hall Box Office, by phone at 412-392-4900, or online at www.heinzhall.org.
