The Best Coffee Shops in Pittsburgh
If there is one thing I love on a rainy, cold day (or a warm and sunny day…really any day) is a delicious cappuccino and a croissant that will make me feel like I was just transported to a café in Paris or a coffee house in Vienna. Even if Pittsburgh isn’t known for its great coffee, there are great places to get your daily dose of caffeine. Find out about the best cappuccinos, creamiest lattes, and strongest espressos in the ‘burgh, tested by yours truly!
21st Street Coffee & Tea (Strip District)
This coffee shop has everything you need, flaky croissants, beautiful latte art, and the most delicious cappuccino I have had in a while. In true Pittsburgh fashion there is exposed brick everywhere, which gives it just the right combination of a modern and industrial chic atmosphere!
Big Dog Coffee Shop (South Side)
If you haven’ been to big dog, you’ve been missing out! Not only does this place seem like an oasis within the city, perfect for studying or reading your favorite book. I love their specialty lattes, like the honey latte!
Marty’s Market (Strip District)
Okay, Marty’s Market isn’t technically a coffee shop, but the coffee they serve at their in-house café is out of this world! This place is my favorite at brunch time, because not only their coffee is amazing, their food is too!
Delanie’s Coffee (South Side)
A favorite of students to get some studying done, Delanie’s is sure to delight with every single cup they serve. Their pastries are just as good as their coffee and invite to stay all day!
Zeke’s Coffee (East Liberty)
What I love about Zeke’s is that they don’t only make the most delicious and beautiful coffees, they also sell their own roasted coffee beans, perfect for when you want to make your own cup at home.
