Best Pittsburgh Beer Spots to Celebrate National Beer Day
Today is National Beer Day, which might just be one of our favorite non-traditional holidays. In the last few years Pittsburgh’s food scene has really exploded, with one restaurant opening after another and trendy eateries responsible for bringing back life to entire neighborhoods.
As restaurants began to boom our attention naturally shifted to drinks and the focus on craft cocktails and local breweries was everywhere. On a sticky, rainy day like we’re having now in Pittsburgh, what better way to end the workday than to grab a beer and be festive. Here’s our top picks on where to celebrate National Beer Day in Pittsburgh!
Social
Bakery Square is one of the hottest places to be right now thanks to Google, thriving retail stores and one of our favorite places to grab a bite – Social. The food and desserts are something to rave about, but their variety of domestic and imported beers is what keeps us coming back.
il Tetto
Located on the third floor of Sienna Mercato, this beer garden is the ultimate place to be. With a retractable glass ceiling that showcases Pittsburgh’s beautiful skyline, it’s truly unlike any other place in the city. The view and fun-filled atmosphere is enough to make you drop everything and head on over, but today it’s all about the beer and il Tetto’s large selection is on point.
Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh
Of course Hofbräuhaus is known for its gigantic steins of beer, which automatically makes it one of the best places in the Burgh to celebrate National Beer Day. You’ll feel like you’ve walked into Munich, Germany with waitresses wearing lederhosens, a loud band to sing along to, and those larger-than-life glasses of brew.
BRGR
What better way to wash down a divine burger than with a nice cold glass of beer? Lucky for us, and for you, BRGR now has four locations so that we don’t have to travel far to enjoy the perfect relaxed meal. Check out BRGR’s insane drink list, including their famous spiked shakes, in the Eastside, Cranberry, PNC Park, and their newest location in Mt. Lebanon at the Galleria Mall.
Industry Public House
Located right in the heart of Lawrenceville, Industry is one of our favorite places to grab good ol’ American comfort food. They may be known more for their whiskey drinks, but Industry’s selection of brews is nothing to joke about. Their live digital screen even shows you which of your favorite drinks is fully in stock or running low…pretty cool feature! Oh, and buffalo chicken flatbread.
