Pittsburgh has the ability to satisfy so many different interests but not everyone is aware of that. From football to gallery crawls, there is so much culture packed into our beloved city and there’s not enough time in a day to enjoy it all. Autumn brings a multitude of different activities to enjoy and when you aren’t at Penn Brewery or a haunted house, the art side of Pittsburgh can amp you for autumn too.
Vessel Studio in the Southside will host “glass pumpkin patches” throughout the month of October. This is the second year for the fall favorite and they are going all out. The response from their first year was huge and they are excited to host again. Drew Hine, owner of the studio, along with the other artists are decking the studio with their own fall spirit. Pumpkins will be on display and available to purchase.
If you’re more hands-on and blowing your own glass is up your alley, reservations are recommended though walk-ins are welcome. Refreshments are also offered so if you get tired after a day of creativity, you can sip on apple cider while enjoying a cookie or soup. The event will be held on October 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is a $35 cost to make your own pumpkin. The studio can be contacted for reservations at (412) 779-2471.
