It may be a little belated happy birthday, but last Thursday the Olsen twins turned 27.
The Olsens have been in many of our favorite childhood shows, songs, life lessons, and more. Twenty seven years later they’ve really come a long way from their Full House days taking turns playing Michelle. They’ve given us 27 years of seeing double and you’d think we’d all be tired of it by now but we’re all still happily bothered by their twin inspired dizziness. They’re very influential in the fashion world especially as they’ve matured. Their lines have touched every price line, from their Olsenboye clothing by Mary-Kate and Ashley sold at JC Penneys, to The Row with their ready-to-wear clothing, leather goods, and eye wear, sylemint.com which customizes clothes and looks based on your taste, and Elizabeth and James lovingly named after their brother and sister. This is my personal favorite line they have. They even have a book, Influence, of different designers, photographers, and just people from all over every industry that influenced them in some aspect of their lives. They love the gutsy moves they’ve made and shared them with a book for all of us to be inspired by as well. If you don’t have that book I highly recommend you get it, it’s a great must read.
It’d be an understatement to say these girls haven’t made their mark in the world, whether it be fashion, television, radio, and or just about everywhere else. At 27 it’s apparent that they’re not stopping anytime soon. They’ve come a long way from their Full House days, especially fashion wise, and I can’t wait to see what they do next.
