Jennifer Lawrence won more than just an Oscar last night – she won our hearts. We cannot get enough of this girl. Not only was she the picture of perfection in Dior, but did you see the diamonds dripping down her back? To die for.
At the age of 22, her performance in Silver Linings Playbook has won her a Screen Actors Guild Award, Golden Globe Award, Independent Spirit Award, Satellite Award and the Academy Award for Best Actress. That’s more than most actresses accomplish their entire lifetime.
We love her because she is our ideal best friend. Did you see her fall at the Oscars on the way to accept her award? Not only did she laugh at herself but she made a joke out of it to the audience. They gave her a standing ovation and she brilliantly told them they did it because they felt bad she fell. On the contrary Miss Lawrence. They did it because you’re fantastic.
And just in case her embarrassment wasn’t enough, the conference after she won her award had reporters cracking up. Of course, she plays the good sport when asked about the fall saying it was absolutely on purpose. The thought running through her mind? The F word. After a few witty comebacks, she fully admits to doing a shot backstage. I think the media needs to better prepared when interviewing her. We think the liquid courage added to her fierce personality. We loved every minute of it.
