A couple days ago, one of the world’s largest motion picture exhibiters opened its fourth Cinemark branded movie theatre in Monroeville. The town now boasts the featured Cinemark NextGen cinema design concept, an integral part of the Cinemark Monroeville Mall and XD. Cinemark isn’t new to Pittsburgh, having already opened three theaters prior to this one and is reportedly opening a fifth at McCandless Crossing.
Showcasing this new 12-Screen Movie Theatre (a total of 2,108 seats) , Cinemark Monroeville Mall XD features some great amenities (courtesy of the new NextGen design). It offers state-of- the-art viewing environment complete with wall-to-wall, and ceiling-to-floor screens available in all auditoriums. The new theaters will feature 4K digital projection powered by Barco projecters-offering the brightest light standards in the industry; as well as RealD 3D capability in six auditoriums, enhanced sound systems that will enable customers to hear the movie as the filmmakers intended, and a famous concession stand- offering freshly-popped popcorn, Coca-Cola beverages and popular candy brands. Clearly, Cinemark has outdone itself with the latest technology and features to ensure a quality movie experience.
