We’re no stranger to Rihanna. If she isn’t in the media for Chris Brown drama, she’s promoting fragrances or releasing CDs. In fact, she’s released one CD every year since “Music of the Sun” dropped in 2005. She’s grown as a musician and is definitely on her way to taking over many different platforms.
While her River Island debut had less than stellar reactions from the public after it debuted at London Fashion Week, she keeps moving forward on her bad girl train. Later this year, RiRi will have multiple launches with MAC cosmetics. We’re especially excited for RiRi Woo. Inspired by her favorite MAC lipstick, Ruby Woo, it’s a blue-red said to compliment every skin tone. Her shade will be retro matte and have a moisturizing component. Halleluiah for that!
This is the first time MAC has partnered with a celebrity for an ongoing collaboration. Calling Rihanna a “creative partner” for the company was a no brainer. She jumped at the deal and is an avid user of the brand herself. After mixing different textures with different colors and different greens in different eyeshadows, she is now a makeup maven. Every little detail was important in this collection.
Keep your eyes peeled. RiRi Woo will be released at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on May 4 and 5 during Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour. There will also be a pop-up shop on location to promote the release.
