Makeup Monday: Get Ready for “NAKED SMOKY”
Urban Decay’s Naked palettes are essential to anyone with even the slightest interest in make-up. The original Naked palette is EVERYWHERE and boasts the most natural, neutral shades. It’s featured in more tutorials than we can count and colors like Half Baked and Buck are used in our personal everyday makeup routines! The follow up full-sized palettes, Naked 2 and Naked 3 focused more on colored themes with the second being taupe-hued and the third being rose-hued. Now, on July 8th, Urban Decay is launching their first “look-based” Naked palette, Naked Smoky.
Naked Smoky features 12 gorgeous neutral shades hand-picked to help you create the perfect smoky-eye that will make your face the object of everyone’s envy. Urban Decay went above and beyond with this new palette. They’ve included nine BRAND NEW shades (High, Dirtysweet, Slanted, Dagger, Smolder, Password, Whiskey, Combust and Thirteen) and three exclusives (Radar, Armor and Black Market)! There are matte shades, satin shades, and even a few with some sparkle! This. Palette. Has. It. All!
Urban Decay even got together with top makeup artists to create tutorials for us! Included with every Naked Smoky palette is a set of instructions that will show you step-by-step how to perfect four different looks! Try your hand at the Iconic UD Smoky Eye, the Smoky Reality Star, the Smoky Cat, or Everyday Smoky! (If you try any of these looks out, be sure to tag us on Instagram @maniacmagazine so we can check them out!)
We couldn’t possibly talk about this palette without mentioning the amazing packaging! Have you seen it?! The package and the double-ended brush are both decorated with soft, swirling, smoke and feature “Naked Smoky” written in a gunmetal foil. Even the shadows are set down into a smoky, transparent base! The details that went into creating this product just blow us away!
Naked Smoky will be available beginning July 8th from Ulta, Sephora, and Urban Decay’s website. We can’t wait to try out all of the shades (especially Slanted and Smolder)! Which are you excited to try?!
