Fall is officially here. With a new season comes a new palette of makeup colors. Beauty Maniacs everywhere are eager to learn what’s on the in – and what will be heading out. Lipstick is a staple in every beauty guru’s cosmetic case. Whether it’s an icy pink gloss or a bold, statement red, women everywhere love their lip color. Here are the six shades to keep and eye out for and tips on how to wear them.
-Electric red has to have a certain attitude to go with it. A bold lip is always in style and this color will certainly be a staple. Make sure when you wear a color this bright that you leave your eyes minimal. Think Marilyn Monroe. Her classic red lip never went without a thin line of black eyeliner and mascara.
-Matt pinks are soft yet vivid at the same time. Be sure to exfoliate if you are looking to try this trend. Matte colors look better on smooth lips. Pair it with simple makeup or neon eyeliner. This pink can flatter any skin tone so wear it with confidence.
-Go naked. Not entirely, just on your lips. This tone can be tricky for women around the globe. Lipsticks with caramel and honey tones are universally more flattering. If you’re new to the trend, take baby steps with a gloss instead.
–Classis red will always be in style. Nothing is sexier than a woman exuding confidence in red lipstick. Stick with more brick or brown tones and pair with a simple cat eye. For more formals affairs, be daring and do a bold eye as well. You’ll be sure to turn heads for all the right reasons.
-The gothic trend is being seen everywhere for fall. Lipstick is no exception. A deep purple or plum exudes mystery and confidence. Pair it with emeralds, dark blues and burgundies for nighttime allure. Keeping it smoky will pull the look together.
-Don’t put your summer oranges away just yet. They can be worn through the fall. The color is bold and eye-catching. It’s an added bonus that they make your teeth look whiter. Remember, oranges sink into the backdrop on golden-warm shades of skin and float on pinky-cool.
With so many colors to choose from, it’s hard to decide. I say the more lipstick the merrier so pick one for every day of the week. You’ll always be on-trend.
