Top Five Ipsy Products
Ipsy is the beauty child of one of the greatest YouTube celebrities of our day – Michelle Phan. Known for her beauty tutorials, and overall amazing human, Phan created Ipsy to give women all over the world a chance to try out products that Phan herself is a fan of.
The Ipsy community is a welcoming one. Upon signing up for the Glam Bag – which you receive monthly, filled with all kinds of goodies – you’re then asked to take a quiz to help personalize what you’ll receive each month. The questions range from your hair, skin and eye color, to what you skin type is like, to what type of styles you’re in to. Don’t be afraid of Ipsy breaking your bank, because it’s only $10 a month, which is a fraction of what just one product can cost.
Which brings us to the topic of this discussion – the products. I’ve personally been subscribed to Ipsy since November and as each bag has arrived, I’ve found myself falling more and more in love with the concept and the products I’m given. I’ve decided to share the wealth, and discuss five of my favorite products from the Glam Bag and just where you can get your hands on them.
Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara
I have rather large, blue eyes, so when mascara comes my way I will always test it out to see how well it brightens my eyes even more. This mascara, which I received in my November Glam Bag, is the best I’ve ever had. It gives my eyelashes this full, and beautiful lift while avoiding any clumping or smudging. Before applying it, I always curl my eyelashes and after application, my lashes look fantastic and long. Though it’s a pricey product, coming in at $22 per tube, it’s worth it for the long lasting effect it will have on your eye makeup.
Beaute Basics Sahara Gold Chubby Eyeshadow Pencil
Not only does this Chubby Pencil work as an eyeshadow, but it also can work as eyeliner! As an eyeshadow, it goes on my lids so easily and has a beautifully radiant gold color that lasts for hours. Using this as a base color for smokey looks is the best because it blends well with other shadows. To use it as eyeliner, simply use a pencil sharpening to help get that pencil edge for your inner lids. The pencil is currently sold out on the Beauté Basics website, but once it’s restocked it’ll be $19.99, so spoil yourself and pick one up!
Getting my 3D Blender in my December Glam Bag was one of the greatest gifts I could’ve received around Christmas time. The blender itself is 100% latex-free and is seriously the easiest and quickest way to apply foundation. The 3D Blender can be used either wet or dry – I prefer using it wet, it makes the application process smoother and gives my skin this dewy glow. This product is currently for sale on the RickyCare website for only $10 which is an amazing price for a blender – plus you can get it in an array of colors.
Perfectly Posh BFF: Best Face Forever Exfoliating Daily Face Wash
Delivered in the most current Glam Bag, February, this exfoliating face wash has a delicious scent of peppermint and grapefruit. This all natural, sulfate-free face wash is also infused with Aloe Vera and other essential oils which helps leave your face feeling refreshed and soft. The wash is also blended with millions of natural microbeads, which help remove dead, and dry skin from our face. Head on over to their site and purchase a tube for $21, it’ll be your new best friend.
If you’re someone like me, you sometimes forget to take your makeup off before bed and end up waking up looking like the Matchmaker from Mulan. To help rid of the leftover makeup, and have a cool and refreshed face, purchase this product. The smoothness, and softness from the cloths are amazing – and the best part? You don’t need to rinse it off afterwards! Which makes this product perfect for traveling, or whenever you’re in a hurry. It helps fight breakouts, and clean up any oils or dirt that are found on our faces. It’s $15 for 30 single-use cloths on their website, and they also are available at Ulta.
