CoverGirl Star Wars Makeup Collection
Back in August, CoverGirl decided to make dreams come true for all of us closeted nerds. The brand announced the upcoming release of their newest product, a Star Wars makeup collection. Then, on September 4th, the line was released. This limited edition collection, celebrating the newest Star Wars film to be released in December, is made up of lipsticks, nail polishes, and mascaras.
The lipsticks, which are in six different shades, can help anyone unleash their light or dark side. The lipsticks are infused with shea butter for long-lasting color. The colors to choose from are even fiercer than one would expect. From a sharp gold and silver, to a soft lilac and nude, you’re sure to have people asking where you got it.
The mascaras are to die for. You get to pick between the Super Sizer Waterproof Light Side, and the Super Sizer Dark Side mascara. Both come in ‘Very Black’ and will give you 400% more corner-to-corner volume for full lashes. What’s even cooler about the mascaras is that there are 10 collectable quotes on each tube – 5 from the dark side and 5 from the light!
The final product from the Star Wars collection is the nail polish. Coming in with six shades, this high gloss polish combines a chip-resistant top coat with a base coat, making it easy to apply and go!
To make the release an even cooler experience, CoverGirl Global Creative Design Director, Pat McGrath, created seven exclusive looks, to go with the collection, that are out of this world. They include: the Droid, Jedi, and Mystic, which are for the light side. Then for the dark side, there’s the Stormtrooper, Dark Apprentice, and Chrome Captain. CoverGirl even gives us a bonus look, modeled by CoverGirl Janelle Monae, which is the Resistance Pilot!
