When we think of Paris at Maniac, we can’t help but think of Paris Fashion Week. After all, with it being the Fashion Capital of the World, of course it makes our inner fashionista swoon. And while we are quite sad that the week is over – we now get to transition the trends from runway to every day. So, we are bringing you some of our favorite fashion and some of our favorite beauty. After all, the two are partners in crime. A dynamic duo if I do say so myself.
Nina Ricci takes the beauty of ballet to a whole new level this season. Designer Peter Copping was inspired by dance and the collection is reminiscent of a ballerina’s wardrobe when she’s not on stage.
Valentino has an ethereal vibe to it. The dresses look like they came right out of a fairy tale wardrobe. While it’s more Brother’s Grimm than Disney, we adore the intricate white collars.
Masculine meets feminine with Dries Van Noten. Nobody does it better. The collection was inspired by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. It’s a collection as effortless as the dancing duo that inspired it.
We cannot get enough of Raf Simmons and his work for Dior. This is the second collection for the house and he took the founder’s love for surrealist art and brought it to life.
Chloe couldn’t get enough coats. While we couldn’t either, we also were swooning over school-girl inspired pinafores and the dresses and bags that accompanied them.
Now, on to the beauty. For the most part, focus was on the brows this year. There was a lot of minimalist makeup and classic hairstyles. With that being said, there were also a lot of wildcards. Our favorite? The glitter eyes seen on the Chanel runway. While we obviously can’t copy the look exactly for an everyday look, you can still bring a little pizazz to your eyes without going over the top. Here are our favorites.
Wow. What a whirlwind week of fantastic beauty and amazing collections. It’s nonstop once New York Fashion Week ends and another begins. From the United States to Europe, women love the world of fashion and why wouldn’t they? So tell us, what are you most excited for come fall?
