TLC’s, Buddy Valastro, from the hit show “Cake Boss” was in Pittsburgh yesterday handing out 10,000 free cakes from Carlo’s Bakery! The cakes were given away to anyone who came to see Buddy, his family, and Carlo’s Bakery workers in downtown Pittsburgh at Market Square. Sounds like a delicious deal, right?
Thousands of Pittburghers waited in line for hours to get their hands on one of these beloved and famous cakes and get their picture taken with Buddy. The cake giveaway began at 10:30 AM, and the line began at 8!
According to WTAE news, Buddy loves our city by saying, “Anytime I’ve ever come to Pittsburgh, everybody made me feel at home, made me feel like family. If there’s one city that always pulls through for me, it’s Pittsburgh. So, when I had the choice to do this in any city in the country, I chose Pittsburgh because I knew that we would have a great reaction.”
