There are a number of trends that have strutted down runways, been modeled in editorials, and photographed on red carpets, but what are some of MANIAC’s favorite fashion trends for Spring 2012? This season it’s all about bold colors, daring patterns and short tops!
TANGERINE
This may be my favorite trend of the season. It’s such a fresh color, and one that most people don’t think of wearing. The best part—it looks good on every skin tone! There are plenty of tangerine and orange shades for you to choose from!
BRA TOPS
We saw this trend on the runway—retro-style bras worn as shirts and normally paired with a pencil or flared skirt. This trend isn’t for everyone, but those who can pull it off will be rocking a chic look. High-waist pants or skirts work best for this look, so you don’t show TOO much skin!
COLOR-BLOCKING
We’ve seen this trend before, but it’s back and I’m loving it! Sometimes color-blocking can go too over-the-top, but these looks are spot on.
BOLD PRINTS
From florals, zig-zags, and chevrons—prints are bigger and bolder this season! Though some are afraid or cautious to wear loud prints, here’s a word of advice: just try it! You won’t regret it!
CROP TOPS
From tees to tanks, it seems that crop tops are taking up a majority of our retail shops. We have seen these EVERYWHERE, and the trend is going to be around for some time. The look has been seen paired with high-waist pants and skirts, but now that spring is approaching crop tops will look just as good with your short shorts!
SUMMER SUITS
This season your professional wardrobe doesn’t need to only involve pantsuits. Say hello to the summer suit. Adding dressy blazers, these business shorts can be worn in the office or out on the town!
PASTELS
For those who are overwhelmed by the bright, bold colors and patterns of spring—do not fear! Pastels are all over the place and look good on all. From pinks, blues, and yellows, pastels are the perfect hues for springtime.
