While it may be seemingly easier to pull off a boho-chic look for spring and summer, you can let your inner hippie (or Olsen twin) shine in fall and winter months, too!!
Try faux fur vests, flowy paisley or floral blouses or skirts, hippie-chic dresses paired with tall boots, floppy hats, ponchos, and sheer layered pieces for a modern and season-appropriate take on this hot look. Knits, pops of leather, and mixing-and-matching fabrics or surprising pattern mixing are also key elements to this type of style.
Layering is anothe key part of any bohemian-inspired ensemble, and the cooler months are the perfect time to do so. The modern take on a boho look can range from classic hippie, to East Coast hipster, or even a throwback to Eliza Doolittle. Best yet is a mixture of all three styles. Just have fun with it and be sure not to cross into costumey or homeless-looking territory.
The biggest part of this look is a casual, laid-back, effortless flavor that is still chic.
Look to these Matthew Williamson, Ralph Lauren, Winter Kate, Missoni, and Free People stylings for inspiration.
